Bryanna Vilnaigre
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT
bcv2013@nyu.edu | @BryannaVilnaig1
Bryanna is currently an undergraduate majoring in Neural Science at NYU. Her research journey started when she investigated the functional role and the molecular identity of Foxp2+ cells in the bed nucleus stria terminals as a research assistant in Dayu Lin’s lab. She recently became an NIH BP-ENDURE fellow, a program designed to train underrepresented students for graduate programs in Neuroscience.
After spending her summer of 2023 at Brown University, she joined the Liddelow lab. Now working with Priya Prakash, she is investigating the role of reactive glia in neurodegenerative disease using the mouse model.
Bryanna is preparing to apply for Neuroscience Ph.D. programs in Fall 2024. She hopes to implement skills developed during her time in the Liddelow lab towards her own research questions about the molecular mechanisms of memory and how neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, alter this process.
